At the heart of an unending war between the border wolf clans of the Skoglunds and Kletts is a deep-seated grudge born of loss, bloodshed, and an insatiable hunger for control over resources. During one of their bloody face-offs, Bodild Skoglund and Einar Klett are mysteriously bound by a prophecy that, if broken, will destroy both clans. Forced to embrace everything that defies their bloodlines, they must navigate a fragile truce as loyalties shift and enemies plot in the shadows.

This tour de force novel will seize you by the scruff of your neck, propel you forward, and remain relentless until the final word. If you are looking for a gripping paranormal romance, Riordan Yun’s The Enemy in My Veins is a must-read. Promising bursts of intense action, high-stakes drama, adventure, visceral thrills, and a compelling, dynamic cast, Yun expertly unfolds an ingenious plot that fully delivers on the initially built intrigue. The attention paid to detail is just enough not to bog down the pace of the plot.

The edge of the seat suspense, spellbinding cliffhangers, and jaw-dropping plot twists hooked me. The evocative depictions brought the scenes to life on the pages. It felt like I was next to the cast in every scene, experiencing the brutal wars, pack politics, surprise attacks, betrayal, jealousy, loathing, rage, and more. The sharp dialogue gave depth to the cast’s conflicts, emotions, and traits, allowing me to connect with them.

I loved this book.

In Orchids in Moonlight, Sorrel Hollis takes on the restoration of the Wolcott estate’s neglected gardens, forging a cautious bond with Kenton Wolcott as they share botanical knowledge. When a custody battle threatens her stability, Kenton helps her prove her competence through a formal survey. Sorrel’s trauma, however, repeatedly tests their fragile connection.

Riordan Yun delivers an achingly accurate portrayal of how trauma weaves through a woman’s soul, shaping her path to healing. The formidable Winifred Spence adds intrigue as the estate’s gatekeeper, guarding secrets within. With bursts of sharp, intimate prose and a moving emotional core, this is a story worth every page — very highly recommended.
